Just a couple of things I have got to mention. Lights on your vehicle are not so you can see, but so you can be seen. NC state law requires if wipers are on, lights are on. If visibility is reduced, lights should on so I can see you coming and not turn in front of you. My fault – maybe, but you could have prevented it.
When turning into a four lane highway, the following protocol should be followed: if turning left, turn into the left lane, if turning right, turn into the right lane. This prevents confusion and allows for a smoother and continuous flow of traffic. This used be to taught in Drivers Ed. I don’t know if it still is, but it should be emphasized, enforced and ticketed.
Thank you and God bless.
