North Carolina’s Sales Tax Holiday

North Carolina’s Sales Tax Holiday weekend is August 5-7. This is the biggest sales event of the summer…72 hours of tax-free shopping on selected merchandise.

During this three-day weekend – all day Friday, Saturday & Sunday – consumers can shop tax-free for many personal items.

This is a great opportunity to “Shop Carteret First” and avoid paying state sales tax.

Computers, computer supplies, clothing, school supplies, school instructional materials and sports and recreational equipment are the major tax-free categories.

Get the complete list of tax-free items, limits and all the details at http://www.dornc.com/taxes/sales/salestax_holiday.html
