Honor Flight Southeastern North Carolina

Honor Flight of Southeastern North Carolina needs support. The 3rd Honor Flight is scheduled to send 108 World War II veterans to their Memorial in Washington, DC on September 21, 2011. The committee has raised $25,000 of the needed $60,000 required to fund the Honor Flight. The remaining $35,000 must be raised by Labor Day or the committee will face the unfortunate decision to cancel the flight. On the first 2 flights, the committee was fortunate to have one donor fund a significant rotion of the flight. Without such a benefactor, the committee is seeking the support of individuals and businesses to cover the $400 expense per veteran. For more information, contact Tim Necaise (252) 223-4724 or Tim McLear (252) 637-4474. Contributions can be sent to Honor Flight, PO Box 939, Newport, NC 28570 .
