Unemployment Insurance Tax Rate – Free Seminar September 13, Sponsored by Carteret County Chamber and ESC

Employers are invited to a free seminar on Unemployment Insurance Taxe Rates from 1400 – 1700 on Tuesday, 13SEP11 in the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 801 Arendell St., Morehead City. Sponsored by the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina (ESC) and the Chamber.

According to Mary Brown, Manager of the Carteret County ESC office, three officials from the ESC in Raleigh, will provide useful information.

“Learn about your unemployment insurance tax rate and how to electronically report tax and wage information as well as file claims electronically for temporarily laid-off workers,” she said. “Other topics will deal with regulations and guidelines and how to appeal unemployment insurance claim decisions.

“Employers, both large and small, can benefit from this seminar.”

Presenters will be: Ted Brinn, Field Tax Operations Manager; attorney Jeff Smith, Deputy Chief of Appeals; and Watson Sanders, Systems and Procedures Analyst.
