VA Distributing Disability Benefits to Vietnam Vets:

The VA has begun distributing disability benefits to Vietnam Veterans who qualify for compensation under recently liberalized rules for Agent Orange exposure. Up to 200,000 Vietnam Veterans may be eilgible to receive VA disability compensation for medical conditions associated with Agent Orange. Veterans interested in applying for disability compensation based on chronic b-cell leukemias, Parkinson’s disease or ischemic heart disease, should visit the Agent Orange Fast Track Claims Processing System or call 1-800-827-1000.

You may also contact your local DAV or VFW Service Officer. DAV Chapter 26 Havelock serving Carteret and/or Craven counties has two Service Officers at your service. Contact Ancil Jones at 252-349-0006 for any claim or benefits assistance.

Thank you and God bless
